The term Mabini Art refers to the products of galleries and artists that flourished in the aftermath of World War II in what was then knows as Manila's Tourist Belt. Mabini Art used to be looked down upon as "commercial" and meant only for tourists looking for souvenir items.
Lately, however, we have become aware of the significant role played by Mabini Art in the development of Philippine Art. Not only did it introduce art to the Filipino masses, more importantly, it brought Philippine art to the attention of the world.
