CULTURAL ARTIFACTS

Artifacts that have existed over several centuries lie within the sub-building of the museum. The culture of Ifugao was highlighted through the sun and air-dried sculptures dedicated to their deities, called bulul, and storage for necessities via vases. Not only does this clayed art fill in the creativity of the natives but also the baskets—hold their food and entities when traveling—weaved seemingly from rattan, bamboo, wood and nito.

Additionally, Mindanao’s craftwork was transited to the North, such textiles and instruments used for rituals and weddings can be seen within. It also includes many more objects that they use in their daily lives.

Further, Chinese tableware can be found, during the Ching Dynasty, the design depends on the family you are in; Ming Dynasty, where porcelain arose; Song Dynasty, where stone potteries were created; and Han Dynasty, green overglazed or jade (symbolizes prosperity) was on edge. These cultural artifacts may be mere chunks of entities yet for the tribes and groups considered it as their form of life.
